| What started as a family business over 30 years ago in Kitchener, Ontario, Hercules Tire Canada has grown and emerged to become a successful, progressive company - a culmination of teamwork and a focus on customer service at all levels. Originally known as the Electra Group when it first began operating in Canada in 1990, it was owned by the Bierstock family. The company became what it is officially known today when it was sold in 1997. In addition to running Hercules Tire Canada, we are also responsible for the international operations here as well. Hercules Tire International sells and markets our products anywhere throughout the non-NAFTA countries. We're a private company and we offer consumers a wide selection of top quality tires and wheels for all applications through our network of 350 dealers located in Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada. To highlight its growth in Canada, the company recorded sales between $50-60 million in both domestic and international sales in 1990. Today, according to Keller, sales have boomed to $150-million on a comparative basis with an employee base of 150 people. Hercules Tire Canada witnessed rapid expansion by injecting resources from Hercules Tire in the U.S. seven years ago into our company. This allowed our Canadian operation to grow and develop. The guiding principles of success have been there all along according to Rob Keller, Vice President, "it's having the right tires at the right price when customers need them.
